Antibiotic Stewardship

Antibiotics are a life-saving resource, but the emergence of drug resistance in bacteria undermines the effectiveness of current antibiotics and our ability to treat and prevent disease.

The NE QIN-QIO is working with outpatient providers to support their efforts around antibiotic stewardship, which involves measuring and improving antibiotic prescribing.
