WEBINAR: Infection Prevention Collaboration – Hospitals and SNFs
October 27, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The New England QIN-QIO hosted a regional HAI webinar: “Infection Prevention Collaboration: Hospitals and SNFs” on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
Hospital Infection Preventionists have emerged as leaders in addressing important infection prevention and control challenges beyond the traditional boundaries of their work. This presentation highlighted examples of successful regional collaboration between the hospital Infection Preventionist, long term care facility, public health department, and QIO in the prevention of MRSA, Clostridium difficile and influenza within a region.
By attending this webinar with speakers Anne Nolan, RN, MSN, CIC, Mary Lee Greaves, RN, BSN and Margaret Crowley, RN, PhD, participants are now able to:
- Identify opportunities for collaboration between hospitals and nursing homes in addressing shared problems within a region.
- Describe population health principles applied to infection prevention, detection and control of C.difficile infection within a region.
- Describe the emerging public health role in improving population health within a region.
One CEU credit was available to those that participated in the webinar and completed the evaluation. For questions about CEUs, please email Maureen Marsella.
