Are you having a tough time finding the information you need to meet your Medicare Hospital Quality Reporting requirement

We hope you were able to join the New England QIN-QIO on Wednesday, October 17th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM EDT as we navigated QualityNet, the official website of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This website provides resources, data reporting tools and applications used by healthcare providers.

At the conclusion of this webinar, participants can now understand:

  • the QualityNet registration process;
  • locating the Secure Portal Log-in;
  • basic navigation of the QualityNet website;
  • where to find timelines and Specification Manuals;
  • data submission information and guides found under program specific pull down menus;
  • how to join listservs for notifications and discussions; and
  • other CMS Quality Reporting Resources.

Carol Dietz MBA, BSN, CPHQ Consulting Manager CT QIO State Director Carol Dietz is a Senior Quality Improvement Consultant at Qualidigm which is part of the New England QIN-QIO, and has 35 years of experience as an acute care registered nurse with emphasis on patient safety, quality improvement, and system development. Ms. Dietz is the State QIO Director for CT and has a focus on being a community organizer, educator, and frequent presenter in support of the QIN-QIO 11th SOW task to reduce all-cause readmissions by 20% through promotion of strategic care coordination and patient safety programs. Prior to joining Qualidigm, Ms. Dietz was the Director of Quality Improvement for an acute care hospital within Connecticut.  As a nurse, Ms. Dietz has worked in a variety of different hospital and educational settings, including Trauma Coordinator for a large suburban hospital, where she led the hospital in becoming the first hospital in the state to be verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Trauma Level II hospital.  Ms. Dietz holds a BSN from Western Connecticut State University and an MBA from Sacred Heart University.
Jeanne Dufresne, CPHQ Regional Task Hospital Lead HealthCentric Advisors Jeanne Dufresne is a Senior Program Coordinator at Healthcentric Advisors with 17 years of experience in healthcare data management and analytics. Ms. Dufresne is well versed in Medicare hospital quality measures and reporting and provides educational outreach and technical support to hospitals in support of the QIN-QIO 11th SOW related to these topics. Prior to joining Healthcentric Advisors, Ms. Dufresne was a Performance Improvement Specialist at an acute care hospital in Massachusetts. In that role Ms. Dufresne coordinated the roll out, monitoring and communication of performance improvement initiatives including pay for performance indicators and regulatory requirements. Also involved in the data management and validation used in organizational reports and publications, Ms. Dufresne worked to establish data monitoring guidelines and benchmarks and coordinated the reporting of organizational outcomes.
